Tripura

A lot many people know that Tintin visited India for the first time in 1934. Yet, how many can make a guess as to which state and which Palace in India had hosted him?

Well, let Global Connection  tell you, it’s neither some Palace in Rajasthan nor in Madhya Pradesh!

Rather, it’s the Ujjayanta Palace in Tripura, where Tintin lodged when he came to India chasing an international opium racket. In Tintin and the Cigars of the Pharaoh, Hergémodeled Tintin’s India host Maharaja of Gaipajama’s palace on the Ujjayanta Palace.

But it is not all in fiction that Tripura holds its worth! Nestled in the far east of India’s northeast and surrounded by Bangladesh, Assam, and Mizoram, Tripura is a tiny state replete with virgin hill ranges, lush green valleys, and vibrant plains.

Tripura hosts three different types of ecosystems: mountain, forest, and freshwater. The interspersion of dense bamboo and cane forests with deciduous evergreen flora is its distinct feature.

The state has four wildlife sanctuaries ~ Sipahijola, Gomati, Rowa, Trishna. Two National parks ~the Clouded Leopard National Park and Rajbari National Park are located within the precincts of Sipahijolaand Trishna, respectively.

A visit to Tripura, take it from Global Connection , is at once offers an exposure to royalty and adventure of the jungle minus the hazards that are typical to forests.
