Some 21 km north of Tezulies the famous ParasuramKund. The holy Kund is situated within the Kamlang Reserve Forest area and is surrounded by dense forest of Rudraksha trees which are considered sacred by Hindus.
According to KalikaPurana, and the Mahabharata, sage Parasuram (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) took a dip in the waters of Lohithere to cleanse thesin of killing his mother.
Every year on MakarSankranti (15 January) thousands of pilgrims from all over India converge here to take a dip in the water to wash away their worldly sins. Global Connection Siliguri has been guiding tourists to embark on this off-beat pilgrimage.
Apart from the religious importance, the area offers a stunning experience with nature with green waters flowing along the lower ridges of towering lush-green mountains.
